It is called the Land Rover Discovery, but it is far from what the Discovery used to be. Gone are the separate chassis, the V8 engine, and the transfer case with a low range. Now it is just another SUV, which came to replace the older Land Rover Freelander. In 2014, Land Rover launched its first SUV with seven seats in a 5+2 configuration on a footprint no larger than any other 5-seat premium SUV.
