After seven years, the Silverado 1500 evolved and promised a better experience for its owners. The Silverado lineup is mainly built for daily use, for small contractors and entrepreneurs. It was not built for really heavy trailers or loads, but it can handle well a lot of torture without torturing its owners. The optional “towing package” allows trailers up to 11.500 lbs (5216 kg) for the V8 versions and only 7200 lbs (3265 kg) for the V6.
