Infiniti unveiled in 2024 a brand new generation of its flagship SUV model, the QX80, trying to get more customers from the other premium brands.

Infiniti refreshed the QX80 lineup in 2021 for the 2022 model year and brought slight exterior improvements and significant interior updates for its largest vehicle in the stable.

The second generation of the biggest Infiniti model on the market was the QX80. It was launched in 2010 and it was facelifted twice: in 2013 and 2017.

Infiniti introduced the second generation of its largest SUV, the QX56, in 2010. The premium Japanese automaker built it on the same platform shared with the Nissan Armada and the Titan, and in 2014, the carmaker updated the model and changed its name to the QX80.

Infiniti introduced the third generation of the Q45 in 2001 and promised a mix between a sports car and a premium sedan powered by an evolved V-8 engine.

Nissan was very determined to enter into the premium segment, and the Q45 was its strongest contender for the U.S. market.

Infiniti introduced the Q45 on the U.S. market in 1989 as its flagship model, but it wasn't a completely new vehicle.

Nissan developed a premium version for the rugged Patrol Y62 model and sold it on the U.S. market as a second-generation Infiniti QX56.

Infiniti entered the competition on the full-size SUV segment with the QX56 by following the same recipe used by Lincoln and Cadillac.

In 2000, Infiniti introduced a mid-life cycle refresh for its entry-level SUV, the QX40.

Infiniti made the first step onto the off-road segment with the introduction of the QX4 model in 1997 with a re-badged and re-worked version of the Nissan Pathfinder.
