Lincoln introduced the fourth generation of the Navigator at the 2017 New York Auto Show. It was based on the same chassis as the Ford Expedition, but with more features and luxury items.

Lincoln introduced an updated version for the third generation of the Navigator, trying to keep up with its main competitors, and along with the short-wheelbase version, it upgraded the longer version as well.

The Lincoln's flagship SUV was the Navigator, especially the L version, which featured a longer wheelbase and room for seven.
