Aito M6 Pre-Sales Open at 269,800 Yuan, M7 and M8 Updated

Aito has opened pre-sales for the M6 SUV starting at 269,800 yuan ($39,040), while simultaneously launching updated versions of the M7 and M8. All three models debuted at Huawei's spring HIMA event, adding to an already packed product blitz that also included refreshed Luxeed, Stelato, and Shangjie models.

The M6 is a mid-to-large SUV measuring 4,960 mm long, 1,985 mm wide, and 1,736 mm tall, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. The entire lineup comes standard with Huawei's 896-channel LiDAR, the same sensor rolling out across every HIMA brand this quarter.

BEV and EREV: Two Powertrains, Four Trims

The M6 EREV starts at 269,800 yuan (Max+) and 289,800 yuan (Ultra). The BEV version starts at 289,800 yuan (Max+ Long Range) and 309,800 yuan (Ultra). The BEV runs on an 800-volt platform with a 100 kWh CATL battery, delivering up to 760 km of range under CLTC testing.

The EREV is more interesting for range-anxious buyers. It pairs either a 37 kWh or 53.4 kWh battery with a 60-liter fuel tank, claiming a maximum WLTC combined range of 1,400 km. That's fuel and electric combined, of course, but the flexibility of having both options in a single vehicle continues to drive EREV sales in China.

M7 and M8: Price Increases with Hardware Upgrades

The refreshed M7 now starts at 309,800 yuan, up from 279,800 yuan previously. That's a 30,000 yuan increase ($4,350), justified by the addition of the 896-channel roof-mounted LiDAR. The M7 continues to offer EREV and BEV options.

The larger M8 starts at 369,800 yuan, up from 359,800 yuan. It adds red and blue exterior colors and equips CATL battery packs in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations.

Aito is the first brand under Huawei's HIMA umbrella, created with Seres Group. The brand's M5, M7, and M9 have been strong sellers in China, with the M9 consistently ranking among the top-selling large SUVs. The M6 targets young families and is expected to officially launch in Q2 2026.
