BYD Fang Cheng Bao Tai 3 Gets Flash Charging, Tai 7 Opens Pre-Orders

BYD's off-road sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao has launched the Tai 3 Flash-Charging Edition starting at 153,800 yuan ($22,300) and opened pre-orders for the Tai 7 EV between 220,000 and 250,000 yuan.

The Tai 3 rides on BYD's smart EVO+ electric platform with the second-generation Blade Battery. Flash charging delivers 10-70% in 5 minutes and 10-97% in roughly 9 minutes. At minus 30 degrees Celsius, that adds about 3 minutes. Two configurations are available: a 620 km RWD variant and a 565 km AWD version topping out at 169,800 yuan. The AWD model includes intelligent all-terrain recognition and torque control.

First-batch buyers get 18 months of free flash-charging access, which is BYD leveraging its own charging network as a sales incentive.

Tai 7: The Mid-Size SUV

The Tai 7 is a mid-size pure electric SUV with a maximum RWD range of 755 km, making it the longest-range BEV in the Fang Cheng Bao lineup. Pre-orders are open, with full details expected at or before deliveries.

BYD's Charging Push

BYD had 4,597 flash-charging stations operational as of March 12, 2026, targeting 20,000 by year-end. The infrastructure build-out is the enabler for the entire flash-charging product strategy: the Tai 3's 5-minute headline only works at BYD's own stations. At third-party chargers, charging times return to conventional speeds.
