Dacia has unveiled the Striker, a high-riding crossover wagon that measures 4.62 meters long and starts under €25,000. It's the largest Dacia model ever, 50 mm longer than the Bigster, and it comes with hybrid and LPG powertrain options.
The Striker rides on the CMF-B platform shared with the Bigster and Duster. The expected hybrid setup pairs a mild-hybrid turbocharged 1.2-liter engine with a rear-mounted electric motor, 48V battery, and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic for a combined 152 hp (113 kW). A hybrid 4x4 version is planned. An LPG variant rounds out the lineup for markets where gas prices make it relevant.
Design
The exterior features angular LED headlights and taillights with what could be described as Cadillac-adjacent proportions. Increased ground clearance, large-diameter alloys, recycled plastic cladding, and diagonal door gills give it an outdoor character without committing fully to SUV territory.
Inside, the Striker shares its dashboard with the Duster and Bigster. A 10.1-inch infotainment display handles media and navigation. The YouClip accessory mounting system, which lets you clip phone holders, hooks, and other accessories to dedicated points around the cabin, carries over from the rest of the range.
The Wagon Argument
The Striker occupies a segment that barely exists anymore: the affordable crossover wagon. Its closest traditional competitor is the Skoda Octavia Combi, though it also competes indirectly with the Citroen C5 Aircross and Kia Sportage. At under €25,000 with hybrid 4x4 as an option, Dacia is pricing the Striker to capture buyers who want wagon utility without SUV bulk or SUV pricing.
Production starts at Renault's factory in Turkey. Official launch is scheduled for June 2026.
