Lexus has rolled out another round of refinements for the LM500h, its $100,000-plus luxury minivan that competes with private jets more than it competes with other minivans.
The 2026 updates are incremental. The Executive trim gains puddle lights that illuminate the ground when the sliding doors open. The rear refrigerator gets redesigned bottle holders with wave-shaped dividers to prevent drinks from shifting. USB-C ports now deliver a combined 60W for faster device charging. New tire tread patterns on both Executive and Version L trims reduce road noise further, building on the vibration-damping materials added in the mid-2025 refresh.
That's the entire list.
The Powertrain Nobody Talks About
The LM500h's mechanical specification is genuinely interesting, even if the updates above aren't. A turbocharged 2.4-liter engine pairs with two electric motors for a combined 366 hp (273 kW) through a six-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. Lexus calls it a "self-charging hybrid," which is marketing language for "there's no plug."
366 hp in a luxury minivan that prioritizes silence over speed is more about maintaining effortless highway merges at full passenger load than any performance claim.
Pricing
Japanese pricing for the Version L (6-seat) sits at 15,200,000 yen ($95,700), up 200,000 yen from the previous model year. The Executive (4-seat) reaches 20,300,000 yen ($127,800), also up 200,000 yen. At the Executive level, you're paying roughly $32,000 for two fewer seats, which is the price of exclusivity in a vehicle designed to make its rear passengers forget they're in a van.
The current generation launched in 2023. A potential six-wheeled ultra-luxury van, previewed by the LS Concept in late 2025, could eventually sit above the LM in Lexus's lineup.
