Porsche is updating the all-electric Macan with a model year change that adds driver assistance features, digital access, and a meaningful towing capacity increase. The update launches by the end of 2025.
The practical highlight: maximum towing capacity climbs 500 kg to 2,500 kg for all-wheel-drive models. For an electric SUV that competes against the BMW iX, Tesla Model X, and Mercedes EQE SUV, that number matters more than another parking trick.
Parking and Maneuvering
Surround View adds 360-degree camera coverage with a "transparent bonnet" function that projects a virtual view of the ground ahead onto the central display. "Trained Parking" learns and repeats up to five custom parking routines. "Reversing Assist" automatically reverses along a previously driven route for up to 50 meters. These are features that first appeared on the Cayenne and now migrate down to the Macan.
Digital Key
The Porsche Digital Key works with iPhone, Apple Watch, and compatible Android devices via NFC, BLE, and UWB technology. The car unlocks and starts without removing the device from your pocket. Up to seven users can share access. It's not a Porsche-first feature (BMW and Tesla have done this for years), but it closes a gap in the ownership experience.
Entertainment
The App Center now includes games from Gameloft and Obscure Interactive. The Voice Pilot uses AI language models for more complex queries. The passenger display enables simultaneous app use while driving.
WLTP consumption ranges from 16.8 to 20.7 kWh/100 km across the Macan, Macan 4, Macan 4S, and Turbo variants.
