BYD has set UK pricing for the Atto 3 Evo, the updated version of the car that started BYD's British market entry. The Design trim starts at £38,990 ($52,020) with rear-wheel drive and 309 hp. The Excellence trim reaches £42,730 with dual-motor all-wheel drive producing 443 hp and a 3.9-second 0-62 mph time.
Both variants share a 74.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate Blade Battery with cell-to-body architecture. Official range is 316 miles on the Design trim. DC fast charging capability has been doubled over the predecessor to 220 kW, with 10-80% taking 25 minutes.
What Changed
The Evo adds 50 liters of boot space over the original (now 490 liters) and introduces a 95-liter frunk, which the previous Atto 3 didn't have. The cell-to-body architecture integrates the battery pack into the chassis structure, contributing to both rigidity and packaging efficiency.
Standard equipment on the entry Design includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen and 360-degree surround-view camera.
Context
The Atto 3 (known as Yuan Plus in China) is one of BYD's most significant global models. In the UK, it launched BYD's presence in a competitive EV market where MG, Tesla, and Hyundai already have established volume. The Evo's 443 hp AWD variant at £42,730 positions it aggressively against vehicles like the Tesla Model Y Long Range and Hyundai Ioniq 5, both of which cost more in comparable specifications.
Orders open April 2, 2026, with deliveries expected later in the year.
